This alpine hut is unique. Here history, tradition and modernity meet. The wood of the alpine hut is more than 400 years old, in the furnishings and decorations we want to recall something of the history of alpine farming. 

In the alpine hut you may discover many things and objects whose purpose you do not know - just ask your host Hannes, he can tell you something about it. 

For winter sports enthusiasts: the Almhütte is located directly above the intersection of ski slopes 146 and 147 from the Skicircus - Ski In-Ski Out! And you can also go fantastic ski tours from the Almhütte. 

For summer sports enthusiasts: hikes can be started from the Almhütte and a mountain bike trail passes near the hut. Only 200 meters away you will find a reservoir pond where you can swim.

You can book this cottage for up to 10 people. The size and generous room layout provide - if desired - privacy, the large parlor offers space for cozy sitting together and "hoagaschtn" (talk, have fun).

    I feel at home here!

    The alpine hut is built exclusively from the healthy natural material wood. To this end, we reused the wood from two 400-year-old buildings during construction in 2013. The interior is rustic, the equipment is complete. 

    The terrace offers benches, table and barbecue, as well as a heatable HotPot with space for up to 9 people. 

    Since the alpine hut is located at 1,600 meters above sea level just below the Bernkogel peak, you have a magnificent view from the terrace - and of course also the HotPot - into the mountain world of the Hohe Tauern and up to the Loferer Steinberge.

    General information

    Arrival:    (details are in the reservation confirmation)

    • in summer: You can drive with a four-wheel drive vehicle with sufficient ground clearance to the alpine hut. The alpine hut is 4 km away from our farm. Please inform us if you do not have a suitable vehicle.
    • in winter: In winter you can reach the alpine hut by gondola lift and short ski run. Arrival therefore until 15:00 at the latest at our farm, so that you can still reach the last gondola. We will bring your luggage to the hut.

    HotPot/ Tiled stove:

    Wood for the HotPot or the tiled stove is available free of charge. You may heat it up yourself. We will give you tips on request.

    Boarding:

    Since this is a self-catering hut, we ask you to bring ALL food yourself!

    Beverage delivery service:

    You can order drinks from us in advance (beer, sodas, water). We will deliver these to the hut.

    • Final cleaning € 250,--
